This can be done at home, in a dorm room or in their own apartment using our online approach.
For over 30 years, we've worked with hundreds of teens and young adults, and enjoy helping with this difficult stage. A lot of what people need at this stage is someone other than their parents to talk to confidentially.

Every individual is unique, so the therapy that works for one person may not work for another. We work in a way that is the best fit for each client.
For some of our clients, relief comes from opening up to a non-judgmental person. For others, exploring unhealthy thought patterns and their impact on feelings is helpful. Other clients benefit from understanding the connection between childhood or family experiences and present-day issues. Some are helped by having someone simply listen, while others need us to offer advice or challenge and even confront them.

Although we don't believe all relationships are meant to last forever, We believe couples should try everything before ending a relationship, and that means trying couples counseling - ideally sooner rather than later. If two people are willing to put some work in and are willing to take responsibility for their part of the problem, we can make some progress.
Just as each individual is unique, every couple has its own dynamic and finds help in different ways.
Some couples need to learn communication skills to reduce misunderstandings, to listen better, or to more assertively speak their minds. For some couples, it’s about expressing the real feelings that are often underneath the anger. For others, help comes from understanding how they’ve been impacted by the families they grew up in. Sometimes, an addiction in one or both partners is what needs to be addressed.
Often, just being in the safety of the therapy room helps reduce the defensiveness that stops couples from really understanding one another.
